Actor John Dumelo has weighed in on the trending Moesha Boduong BBC interview. According to the Ghallywood star, Moesha was right about Ghanaian women depending on men in return for sexual favours.
Socialite, Moesha Boduong set social media ablaze when she said in an interview with Christiane Amanpour on CNN that she is sleeping with a married man who caters for all her needs. However, what pissed most people off was that she added that she is selling her body because the economy is bad and it is very difficult to make much money as a woman in Ghana.
“Ghana, our economy is such that you need someone to take care of you because you can’t make enough money as a woman. ..He takes care of my apartment, my car, everything and he expect me to be loyal to him and give him sex whenever he want it.
Though Dumelo somewhat agrees with Moesha, he is disappointed with how she generalized it, making it look like every damn woman in sells her body like her.
“What I find wrong is that she generalized it and said every woman in Ghana depends on a man financially,” the actor told host, Daniel Dadzie, on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM this morning.
He added: “Maybe what she should have said was that some women including herself, would probably have something to do with a man who would give her rent or give something of that sort in return for certain favours”
