Nuong Faalong is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist, actress and a poet who hails from Lawra in the the Upper East Region.
Born Edith Faalong in Tamale, Northern Region to Mr. Joseph Y. Faalong and Hellen Tanye, she attended Aburi Girls Senior High School and then continued her education at the University of Ghana, where she studied Economics and Geography.
Nuong Faalong is known for her role in Garry Batty’s critically-acclaimed movie, ‘Freetown’. Her performance in the movie earned her nomination at the 2016 Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best Actress – Africa (non Nigerian category), which she eventually won.
Nuong started acting in 2012 starring as a nurse on Sparrow Production’s Peep series .Since then, she has acted in a number of television series and movies, including, ‘Living With Trisha’, ‘Northern Affair, Broadway, Crime in Love and Sins of Our Fathers.
In 2018, Nuong Faalong joined Media General Ghana Ltd to work as a broadcaster for 3fm and TV3. She is part of the newspaper review team with Kwakye Afreh Nuamah and morning show host Winston Amoah. She also works in the TV3 news room.
