Kimathi Rawlings is the last born and only son of former president Jerry John Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
His siblings are Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings and Amina Rawlings.
Born in Accra in the mid 80s, Kimathi Rawlings attended North Ridge Lyceum and Morning Star School.
In the year 2000, just before his father’s party lost power to the NPP, Kimathi Rawlings and his sister Amina Rawlings left Ghana to continue their formal education in the UK. The siblings enrolled in the prestigious Millfield School in England.
He then continued at Aston University in Birmingham, England, where he studied Bachelor of Science (Bsc), International Business.
The son of Jerry John Rawlings also has two certificates from MDT International: 1. An introduction to Oil and Gas production and 2. Negotiation Skills for the Oil & Gas Industry.
Kimathi Rawlings currently lives in London and works as a Commercial and Portfolio advisor at Eni, a multinational Oil and Gas company.
