Midland Savings and Loans has compensated Patience Osafo, the 36-year-old woman who was brutally assaulted by a police officer, with a whopping 100,000 cedis and a brand new house.

According to private legal practitioner and journalist at Multimedia Group, Samson Lardy, the move was done to prevent madam Patience from pressing charges against the savings and loans company for not stopping Police Officer Skalla from beating her.

“Well, to avoid a civil suit against Midlands Savings and in compensation for the punches, trauma and embarrassment, we just closed a rather ‘generous’ deal that removes her from the kiosk to owning a brand new house and from the streets hawking toffee to a woman now with multiple bank accounts,” he said on his News File Show on Saturday morning.

“Yes, her worries no longer include how to feed her family and provide healthcare for the two months old baby. Her 270-Cedis savings account now holds a six-figure sum.”
