Former president, John Mahama has finally confirmed he will be contesting the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)party.
The office of Mahama has invited the media to witness the presentation of a letter of his intent to lead the NDC in the 2020 presidential elections.
“President John Dramani Mahama will at 10.30am today, Thursday August 23, 2018, submit to the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) his letter of intent to contest the upcoming NDC Presidential Primaries. You are kindly invited to the NDC Headquarters where the presentation of the letter will take place at 10.30am this morning.”
With this confirmation, Mahama joins a long list of aspirants who have declared to lad the NDC, including Nadowli Kaleo MP, Alban Bagbin, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah, Dr. Ekwow Spio Garbrah; a former Trade and Industry Minister; Former Vice Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi and Cape Coast South MP, and Kweku Ricketts-Hagan,
