The bishop who officiated the funeral of legendary singer Aretha Franklin has apologized for unintentionally touching the beubs of singer Ariana Grande.
Bishop Charles H. Ellis III awkwardly greeted Grande on stage after she performed a rendition of Aretha’s hit song ‘(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman’. Photos show that the Man of God touched the right beubs of the singer whilst holding her above her wait.
The Bishop in an interview with Associated Press apologized for ‘groping’ Ariana Grande on stage.
“It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast… I don’t know I guess I put my arm around her. I personally and sincerely apologize to Ariana and to her fans and to the whole Hispanic community,” he said.
He also apologized for being too friendly with Ariana Grande on such a solemn occasion. He said: “When you’re doing a program for nine hours you try to keep it lively, you try to insert some jokes here and there. Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologize.”
