I Don’t Owe Derek Boateng A Penny — John Paintsil

Former Black stars defender, John Paintsil has denied claims by his former team mate Derek Boateng that he is owning him an amount of $20,000 dollars.

Boateng has sued Paintsil for refusing to pay him back the 20,000 dollar he borrowed from him during the 2010 world cup in South Africa.

But speaking to Kasapa FM yesterday, the former Fulham full-back emphatically rejected claims he is owing his ex-colleague.

“I have received summons from court over the said issue and I have discussed the matter with my lawyer to take the necessary legal actions. All I can say is that I don’t owe Derek,” he told the Adabraka-based station.

“I don’t owe him a penny, but since the matter is now in court I will less talk about and leave it to the judiciary to decide whether I owe him or not.”
