Dr. Zanetor Rawlings was born in Accra on June 1, 1978 to former president of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings and his wife Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
Her siblings are Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings, Amina Rawlings and Kimathi Rawlings.
The 40 year old and her younger sister Yaa Asantewaa had their basic education at Achimota Primary School in Accra.
The siblings left Achimota Primary to continue schooling at North Ridge Lyceum where they completed junior high school.
Zanetor attended one of Ghana’s greatest high schools, Wesley Girl High School. She graduated in 1995.

After her secondary education, Zanetor left the country for Ireland where she enrolled at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland for her medical degree.
According to Zanetor, she is a medical officer working in general practice.
After living abroad for close to two decades, she returned home in January 2015 and launched her political career.
Zanetor Rawlings contested for the Klottey Korle NDC primaries and comfortably beat the incumbent member of parliament, Nii Armah Ashietey.

In the 2016 elections, Zanetor won the Klottey Korle seat beating the NPP’s Philip Addison and two other competitors.
Zanetor Rawlings has three children.The oldest with a white man, and the younger two with sport administrator Herbert Mensah.
In November 2015, the former Asante Kotoko CEO sued Zanetor for preventing him from having access to his kids.
