Embattled gold trading firm, Menzgold has sued Bank of Ghana (BOG) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The troubled company,which is owned by Nana Appiah Mensah, is asking the court to order BOG and SEC to stop interfering in their business.
Menzgold also wants the court to stop BOG and SEC from further publishing “derogatory notices” against the company.
“An order of perpetual injunction to restrain the Bank of Ghana and Securities and Exchange Commission, its officers, servants and agents from interfering with Menzgold’s business activities or further acts of disobedience and non-compliance with law by publishing any derogatory notices.”
Menzgold is also demanding an unqualified apology or retraction from these two institution.
