The family of Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, has revealed that the late Ayawaso West MP died of malignant gallbladder cancer.
The NPP member of parliament died Wednesday night (November 21) at Yale University Hospital in the United States.
His brother former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, told parliamentarians that Kyeremateng fell sick four weeks ago, and was initially given medical care at Ridge Hospital in Accra but his condition worsened on Sunday, and upon the advice of doctors, they decided it was better he seek treatment outside the country.
“On his own feet, he boarded a flight to the US, was processed for admission at Yale University Hospital where my older sister works.
“One thing led to the other, and quickly the situation started unraveling, and within a matter of three minutes the healthy, bubbly …individual has been reduced to a cold body, they tried as far as they could, and God knows how everybody tried,” Boakye Agyarko narrated.
He said despite all effort to save his life by doctors of Yale University Hospital, including a Ghanaian doctor, his younger brother passed away at exactly 13:23 US time that’s 7:23 pm in Ghana time.
