Joy FM’s Kojo Yankson Biography — Read All About Him As He Celebrates His 40th Birthday With Lovely Photos

Kojo Yankson was born on June 11, 1979 in Cape Coast.

The Joy FM and Joy News broadcaster celebrated his 40th birthday on Tuesday and marked the milestone by sharing lovely photos of himself on Facebook.

In the photos, Kojo Yankson looked handsome as ever as he cuts a suave figure in a long=sleeved shirt and trousers.

While Kojo has not been hosting the Super Morning Show (SMS) for the past year, our sources at Joy FM tell us that he will be returning to take over from Daniel Dadzie soon.

The Morning Man currently hosts the AM Show on Joy News TV with Mamavi Aboagye.

Kojo Yankson attended the University of Cape Coast primary &JSS for his basic education.

He had his secondary education at St. Augustine’s College, also in Cape Coast and went to the University of Cape Coast for his tertiary education.

He cut his teeth in journalism at the now defunct Radio Valco in Cape Coast.

After school, Yankson left for the UK, living and working there for about 10 years before returning to Ghana in 2014.

On his return to Ghana, he worked with Central Region’s premiere radio station, ATL FM.

After working with ATL FM for some months, Kojo Yankson was poached by Multimedia Group to become the host of Joy FM’s SMS show as a replacement for Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who had resigned to go into politics.

After the hosting the Joy Super Morning Show for three and half years with mixed reception, Kojo Yankson was kicked off the show as host and replaced with Daniel Dadzie.

Dadzie has been hosting the SMS since February 2018 but as we stated earlier, Kojo is set to take over from him soon!

It’s unclear if Kojo Yankson is married or not but reports say he is married to one Pamela Amos, the mother of his only son Fiifi.

“So… #ThisIs40.. I believe all lives are split into two halves. In one half, you work on growing yourself. In the next half, you work on growing others.I thank all of you who played in my first half, and I thank God for granting me a second,” he wrote as he shared the photos.
