I see nothing wrong with polygamy and polyandry – John Dumelo

Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has said he sees absolutely nothing wrong with polygamy provided one can take good care of his wives.

According to the movie star, who is married with a son, he personally would never practice polygamy, however he can’t fault those doing it.

He shared his views on the practice in a recent interview with Jessica Opare-Saforo on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue.

“Personally, I don’t believe in it [polygamy] but I feel that there is nothing wrong with it. If the Muslims are doing it perfectly, why not Christians?

“Provided you can take care of your two or three wives, that’s fine. I speak to a lot of Muslims and both the men and women are okay with it,” he said.

When asked about his thoughts on polyandry Dumelo again said he sees no problem with that too, but he believes very few women will do that because they don’t have that innate in them.

“You can’t just do it for men. Do it for women as well,” he said.

“…Naturally men are like that but women are not like that so you would find fewer women in that situation.”
