Breaking: Nigeria’s Chief of Staff Abba Kyari dies from coronavirus

Information reaching has it that Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has died.

According to Presidential spokesperson Garba Shehu who confirmed the shocking news, Abba Kyari died on Friday after contracting the novel coronavirus.

“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari,” he disclosed on Twitter.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

“May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.”

Kyari contracted the deadly COVID-19 Virus in March and had been receiving treatment. He reportedly caught the virus on an official trip to the United Kingdom and Germany.
