Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako has slammed the timing of the release of Professor Kwamena Ahwoi’s book on Rawlings.

According to Baako, releasing the book which is titled “Working With Rawlings”, barely four months to elections can destroy the NDC chances of winning the 2020 polls.

The legendary journalist, who was speaking as a panelist on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show, said he was surprised that a strategic and experience person like Ahwoi will do something that is detrimental to his party’s chances in the forthcoming elections.

“Let me be honest with you.. The timing of the release of this book relative to the NDC as a political machinery going for an election, questions arise. Mr. Ahwoi is a very strategic and intelligent person but I have asked myself with the timing.

“Coherence and cohesion relative to the campaign, considering the timing. I’m wondering whether it is positive or negative for NDC’s campaign. What is the effect of the release of this book which sounds controversial,” he said.

Kweku Baako however praised Kwamena Ahwoi for documenting his experience with Rawlings, saying it is good for the political history of the country.
