Multimedia Group has rendered an unqualified apology to investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas following serious corruption allegations made against the latter on their platform by member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

In the apology, which was signed by Management of Adom TV and published on Daily Graphic, Multimedia Group said the comments made by parliamentarian suggested that the investigative journalist was a criminal who engaged in illegal mining and bribes and extort monies from people he exposes.

According to Multimedia, they’ve found out that the allegations are false and are deeply sorry for tainting Anas Aremeyaw’s reputation.

“The said allegations have been found to be false and same should not have been on the programme. The publication of such words against Anas Aremeyaw Anas is most regrettable,” the apology read.

“The Management of the Multimedia Group, Benjamin Kwame Asante, Dominic Kissi Yeboah and Abdulai Awudu do hereby apologise and unconditionally and unreservedly retract the allegations and comments made against Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

“Management undertakes not to further publish or reproduce the said allegations and comments on any of its platforms.”
