TV3 broadcaster Johnnie Hughes ‘The Bonafide Genius’, who was an awardee of the Dr Fordjour fake UN Awards, has reacted to the backlash of the trending saga.

The journalist in a Twitter post apologized to his followers for accepting the fake award. According him, his critics are right if they bash him because as a seasoned media man, he should have made a due diligence to find out the authenticity of the origin of the award.

“Ha, haven’t laughed so hard at myself in a very long time & today has been good. Apologies to those disappointed in me for availing myself at my workplace for the ridiculed award. I admit, I could have done better,” he wrote.

He however was quick to take a snipe at those politicizing the saga because he is a known critic of the government. “For those who have found politics in it, “agenda must agend,” he said.
