About 11 people ar feared dead in an accident at Kyekyewere near Konongo on the Accra Kumasi Highway.

This comes barely a week after a similar incident happened at Suhum in the Eastern region where three lives were lost.

According to the Ayensuano NADMO Director, Joseph Okai Gyan who spoke to MyNewsGh.com, the vehicles involved are a DAF articulated truck, an STC Bus and a Grand Bird Bus.

The Ayensuano NADMO Director, Joseph Okai Gyan narrating what caused the accident said the Daf truck was coming from the Accra side of the road but the driver seems to have lost control of the steering wheel and had crashed a Grand Bird bus.

But the STC bus which was behind the STS Bus did not spot the accident that had occurred in front early so efforts of the driver to dodge the truck proved futile hence the crash.

In order to save some of the lives on the bus, the Ayensuano NADMO Director, Joseph Okai Gyan together with some people called in for an Ambulance to ensure that those who are not dead but sustained various degrees of injury are sent to the Suhum hospital to receive treatment.

Some of the dead bodies have been defaced beyond recognition and the dead ones that could be identified are over 11.
