Accra-based radio station and subsidiary of the Despite Media Group, Peace FM, is begging the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to return to the Kokrokoo morning show.
The NDC, led by their director of communications Sammy Gyamfi, boycotted the Kokrokoo morning show, which is hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi, more than four months ago.
In a press release signed by managing director of the Despite Media Group, Fadda Dickson Narh, they acknowledge there have been some misunderstanding between the NDC and them, however they plead with them to overlook the rift and return to the show, as they have a longstanding history together.
Peace FM states in the release that they take responsibility for the rift and plead with the NDC to let sleeping dogs lie and return to the Kokrokoo show.
“Since the inception of Peace FM on May 25, 1999, we have had a mutually beneficial relationship with all political parties including the NDC. However, in recent times, there has been a misunderstanding between us and the NDC in relation to the use of panelling of the discussion segment of the Kokrokoo show.
“We therefore urge the NDC to let sleeping dogs lie and allow harmony to reign and return to the Kokrokoo show,” the statement reads.
