Cristiano Ronaldo tests positive for coronavirus

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus, Portugal’s Football Federation has disclosed.

The federation said despite their star player testing positive, he is feeling great, and yet to display any symptom.

This means Ronaldo will not face Sweden national team when they meet Wednesday for the UEFA Nations League tournament.

“Following the positive case, the remaining players underwent new tests this Tuesday morning, all with a negative result, and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon, in the City of Football,” the Federation said.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ronaldo and his family as he battles the virus.
